Conferences and academic journals are two key mechanisms for staying up to date with research in my field.
I have attended and presented at national conferences in my field and look forward to continuing these activities. Each conference I have attended is teeming with knowledge and it’s a great way to access the newest research, network and meet with colleagues. Thus far I’ve attended meetings for the American Society for Microbiology and Association for the Sciences of Limnology and Oceanography.
Journals I read regularly include:
- Environmental Microbiology
- ISME J
- Applied and Environmental Microbiology
- Frontiers in Microbiology
